Who are the affordable homes for?

Quality affordable homes are for everyone! Young professionals, couples, families, empty nesters, multi-generational households and people that are upgrading from an apartment or an older starter home.  And if the lot allows, we are also able to build these homes as zero entry homes with no steps to enter the home, four foot wide walkways, and three foot wide doorways. If mobility is ever an issue, you will be able to remain in your home.

At PRK Williams, what are your non- negotiables in every home that you build?

QUALITY and CRAFTSMANSHIP!  There are several items that we are committed to never compromising.  We strive to build all our homes to last and be comfortable and beautiful for many, many years to come. We don’t compromise our attention to detail in any home, regardless of price point. We install a SONA Ducty HS whole home air purification system in all of the homes we build, ensuring that those who live in our homes are breathing the healthiest air possible through a proprietary, innovative air ionization unit that only PRK Williams Building Group offers. All our homes are energy efficient, and in many cases, exceed the minimum requirement of the current Energy Code Standards. We offer upgraded double pane windows and take an extra step in sealing the foundation to keep the home free from dirt, pests and the elements.  Universal design is also something that we can offer in all of our homes.

How are you able to design and build an affordable home without compromising quality or craftsmanship? 

We are a locally owned company, and our team has been in this business and in this community for decades, so we have built great relationships with our subcontractors and suppliers, allowing us to get quality materials and quality work done at a great price.  Other ways that we realize savings are to do our drawings in-house, offering a functional architectural design for the best use of the finished floor space. During the design process we also keep in mind how you may want to grow or change your home in the future and design it to ensure that it is possible and less expensive to do so. 

What are some of the differences that enable you to hit the affordable price point?

Some of the ways that we can hit the lower price point are by offering free design, by keeping the home less complex design, while still offering an open concept to make it feel large and modern.  At this price we also often offer an unfinished basement, this allows the homeowner to expand their living space by up to 70% percent in the future.  As family or needs grow, the home can also grow.  It may also be on a slightly smaller lot; and while we still utilize quality finishes, those selections may be more limited to maintain the desired price point.

Yes, we currently have four quality affordable homes on the market. All of these homes will have a SONA whole home air purification system.  You and your loved ones will be breathing only the healthiest air.

Can a PRK affordable home also be a custom built home?

Absolutely. We have designs that you can choose from or you can customize a design to be exactly what you want and need.  Because we do our drawings in house, we work closely with our home owners to understand how they will use the spaces.

How does the building process differ from that of a higher -end luxury home?

There is no difference in the building process regardless of your price-point. We work closely to find you the location, design and finishes to create your dream home.

What are some other options/ items to consider when building an affordable home?

Since we design in-house we can customize any and every part of your home to fit your specific needs. There is no charge for this service as long as you choose to build with us.

Our experience has made us experts in healthy homes, earning us a platinum certification. Our healthy homes feature a proprietary whole home air purification system, a reverse osmosis system for clean drinking water and use materials that either require less touches or offer cleaner surfaces.

We specialize in zero entry, age in place design and details that allow an age in place, forever home to our clients. One option that immediately impacts the home price is the price of the lot.  Since we can customize our drawings in-house we can accommodate lot sizes of almost any size.

There are numerous other options that can be upgraded throughout the design and selection process such as materials and appliance and lighting selections, finished square footage and additional amenities.  We can work through the costs of any options to keep you on budget.
